The Eiffel Tower is considered to be the symbol of Paris, it has three platforms, at the first two platforms you may have a nice rest at the pubs and restaurants, and delight from the magnificent view of Paris. To know Paris is not enough to visit just the museums. You must walk along the squares, then drink a coffee in any of the Montmartre cafÈ though the prices are high it is worth to feel as living in a postcard. Afterwards you may board the boat that takes you all along the Sena river to admire Paris at night or go to one of the most famous cabarets. The last night in the City of Light we spent it at the Moulin Rouge where we enjoy a fabulous Parisian show. Almost at dawn we went to sit by river shore, the pale morning of Paris grew over our shoulders. Then I remember some lines of a Cuban poet: "Abandon Paris, is to abandon yourself"

Paris was founded by the Parisii tribe that belonged to a Celtic fishery people, who in the III Century B.C settled in the main island of the Sena, La Ile de la CitÈ. In 486 the francs seized the city and set it up as the capital of its kingdom. But it was until 987 with the arrival of the powerful dynasty of Hugo Capeto that Paris become the real capital of Paris, then divided in domains. The City of the light became part of the history in 1789 with the beginning of the Revolution that marked the birth of the modern world.

Be welcome to Paris If you want to know Paris with an order you should begin with the Arc of Triumph , which is the central point of the City. Here is the starting point where most of the important avenues, boulevards as the Champs Elisees, Charles de Gaule, Friedlant which later becomes the Haussmann Bolulevard, la Foch and Victor Hugo among others. Though the Sena is some blocks away from here is one of the most important avenues of the city. Paris could not be conceived without the river lined with trees, and its banks that have been proclaimed by the UNESCO as Human Wealth. Beautiful bridges cross the river, the most beautiful and important is the Alexander III. To know the Sena and its surroundings is recommended to get on board on one of the boats as the " Bateau Mouche" that takes you along the river. From here you may appreciate the beauty of the Capital of Europe.

Later walking along the Champs Elysee which will be a delight for our eyes and will lead us to one of the most beautiful museums in the world. The Louvre Museum. On Sundays the visits are fare free, due to the great size of the museum it must be selected the exhibition halls that interest more, as the hall where the Da Vinci famous Mona Lisa and other artists as Verones and Tiziano are exhibited. In the Louvre museum there are exceptional collections of Oriental and Egyptians antiques, sculptures and masterpieces as the Napoleon's Crown. Notre Dame, buried deep in the "Ile de la Cité" it is the soul of Paris, a wonder from the early gothic made of stone. It is convenient to take your time to visit it, in order to see all the details, it is beautiful from any angle.
