The Chocolate Museums Facade next to River Rin

The Olmecas left trustable testimony that cacao seeds were sacred. In the beginning it was a rather bitter drink. Today it is presented in a never-ending number of ways, a lot of which are sweet candy bars. In 1528, Hernan Cortes sent seeds of this tree to Charles the 5th together with a recipe of how chocolate was served in Moctezumas palace, the Tlatoani of Tenochtitlan, who had mixed it with vanilla. The first Europeans to make good use of the drink were the monks. So much that the drinks fame reached France, Italy, Germany, and England.
In this one and only museum you get to appreciate all kinds of machines, chocolate shapes, and an infinite number of curiosities having to do with this delicious seed.
