Only 16 km from the City of Puebla on the highway to Valsequillo, this zoological park is different from any other in Mexico. Here the animals wander freely within enormous spaces resembling their natural habitat, and may be seen by visitors
who either drive their own cars or take the park's transportation service. Africam Safari houses 3,000 animals of which there are 250 species, some in danger of extinction such as the rhinoceros, the bison and the buffalo, amongst others. It was founded in 1972 by Carlos Camacho, after his death in 1976 the park remained in the hands of his children. It is now considered and ecological center as animal and vegetable life is fully respected.
