A family factory belonging to the Avalos Razo, located on the Street of Carretones (between Balbuena Colony and La Merced) in the center of Mexico City. Opened in 1889, it is now three generations that have worked in it. In 1960 it extended its sales to all over the world and the first and only exhibit of blown glass from Carretones took place at the Palace of Fine Arts. The most common items are utilitarian (sets of dishes, lamps, napkin holders); for ceremonies and ornamental (flower vases, etc.). This factory does not have a costly setup and creates its objects under the same ancient techniques -by hand and mouthblown.
