Today this sport/art is still one of Mexico's best kept traditions, thanks to associations such as the National Association of "Charros", the Association of "Charros" of Pachuca, the Association of "Charros Ejidatarios" of Tizayuca and the Association of "Charros" of Jalisco, amongst others. As a rule shows are presented in the arenas where the "charros" (cowboys) demonstrate their abilities riding their "cuacos" (horses). Also, their female counterpart, the "scaramouches" are always present adding beauty and great artistry with their feats performed on horseback.
