An enormous fountain or pool facing the facade of a house completely designed by its owner, the writer Antonio Hass.
We departed from Mazatlan and began our journey towards the south of Sinaloa State. It was midday. The weather was pleasant, but more so was our host´s chat, Antonio Hass, who is the owner of the farm where the famous ìJardines de Teacapanî (Gardens of Teacapan) are located.
The path that leads into the farm is a deliciously paved road boarded by elegant palm trees, garnished by the luxurious colors of lilies. The road leads to a wonderful path. At the edge of the path you can still see a couple of old cigar butts, which are now ìthe biggest flowerpots in Mexicoî since they give way to bugbanes. At the end of the path is the house designed and owned by Antonio, palm by palm standing elegantly in the center of the garden.
Speaking of gardens turns out to be a bit difficult. The memory of a rainbow of colors and scents and the many shapes and varieties jam in our head; hybrid bedlam with pink, orange, and scarlet flowers; yuccas with white and pink flowers; bananas, karedoxas, Ixoras, African palm trees and, hanging from everywhere, the unpronounceable Rhaphidohora aurea.
Being in that garden made us think of the mythical paradise.
