Front of the church, Archs of the convent, and the Jesus hood, Atlatlahuacan.

Dispersed along 41 kms, these marvels built at the beginning of the conquest by the Augustines and the Dominicansare seemingly fortresses. The route commences in the village of Tlayacapan (Convent of Saint John the Baptist); 8 kms ahead is Totolpan (Convent of Saint William of Totolpan); another 5 kms further we find Atlatlahuacan (Saint Mathew's Convent); along another 10 kms we get to Yecapixtla (Monastery of Saint John the Baptist) and just another 9 kms and we find the first Augustine convent in America dedicated to the apostle James. To end the trip we cover another 7 kms to visit Tetela del Volcan (group of buildings forming the monastery of Saint John the Baptist). Beautiful and varied scenery are another of the highlights of this tour through the State of Morelos.
