support towers of the bridge

Constructed in 1892 to carry minerals from the mines of Ojuelas, it is a hanging bridge 316 mts long (the longest in Mexico), located in the Sierra de la Bufa in the State of Durango. At that time it was a huge hammock of steel cables and a plank floor with rails along which ran the wagons laden with ore. This is considered as one of the most historically worthy engineering jewels. Even though it has been half forgotten its steel cables, 5 cms thick as well as most of its floor planks are intact. Reconstructed in 1978 it was the setting for the "Gringo Viejo" film.
