Celebrations made in Santa Fe del Rio, Municipal of Penjamillo, Michoacan, in honor of the restoration of a painting of the Virgin of Guadeloupe in the church of San Jose. The canvas dates back to the early 18th century, and the painting is anonymous. Don Vasco de Quiroga founded the village in the 16th century. It was one of the last Hospital Villages he had founded, whose name always began with Santa Fe. The current population is of 2,300 inhabitants. |
