In 1850 the Automats Company "Rosete Aranda" was born. By 1891 it had 1,300 puppets with the same face and 40 cms. high. By 1900 there were 5,104 dolls, no more than 80 cms high. This way shows could be given every afternoon during a month without repeating any of its numbers. The Company had its own transportation, light , sound technicians and orchestra. This museum is located in Huamantla, Tlaxcala. It has 10 halls, some exhibiting permanent collections. There is a great hall dedicated to the Rosete Aranda family with photographs, posters and many of the 5,000 figures that the Company once possessed. In another of the halls we find replicas of European puppets of the 18th and 19th centuries and an interesting exhibit (the only one of its kind in the world) dedicated to Prehispanic Mesoamerican puppets.
